Black Groups Urge Boycott: An umbrella group of black organizations called Wednesday for a holiday season boycott of the Hollywood film industry to protest what one activist called “lingering racism in films.” A spokesman said the group--which represents black Baptist ministers, members of the Rastafarian community and the Nation of Islam sect--opposes films that depict negative images of blacks involved with drugs or engaging in violence or promiscuous behavior.
