Regarding: “Hung Jury: Broderick Case Ends in Mistrial” (Nov. 21).
I picked up this morning’s paper and thought I’d fallen into an old “Dynasty” rerun.
Imagine Betty Broderick as a woman of color, without wealth or connections and living, say, in Chula Vista. Now imagine this woman being convicted of anything other than first-degree murder on the weight of the evidence presented at Broderick’s trial.
Will Betty continue to get away with murder? Tune in next trial. This soap has been renewed, and we might as well watch it, since we’re paying for it all.
The jury should be hung.
