ROUNDUP : Moorpark Posts 7th Consecutive Victory, 74-64

Guard Sam Crawford had 19 points and 10 assists to lift Moorpark College to a 74-64 victory over Kings River on Thursday in the first round of the Mid-State Classic at Cuesta College.
Damian Wilson added 14 points and Aaron Smith 12 for Moorpark (9-1), which won its seventh consecutive game.
In other college basketball games:
Palomar 52, Canyons 50--Michael Singleton hit a 15-foot jump shot at the buzzer to lift Palomar (2-6) in a first-round game of the Cuesta Mid-State tournament. Canyons (3-4), which blew an eight-point lead, had turned the ball over with six seconds left and the score tied, 50-50.
Golden West 77, Glendale 75--Glendale’s Alfonso Pule missed a 10-foot jump shot with five seconds left that would have tied the score in a first-round game at the Golden West College tournament at Golden West College.
Oxnard 83, Porterville 61--Shawn Talley scored a game-high 26 points and Andy Beltowski had 11 to lead visiting Oxnard (7-4) in a nonconference game.
BOYS’ BASKETBALL
Notre Dame 75, Loyola 67--Forward G.C. Marcaccini scored 14 of his 32 points in the fourth quarter to spark the Knights (5-0) in a semifinal game of the Loyola tournament.
Montclair Prep 70, Cathedral 66--With seven seconds remaining and Montclair Prep leading, 68-66, Jared Sonne intercepted an errant pass by Cathedral (3-2) to seal the victory in a quarterfinal game of the Faith Baptist tournament.
Chaminade 80, Faith Baptist 69--Mark Wiltshire scored 26 points for Chaminade (1-0) in a quarterfinal game of the Faith Baptist tournament.
Harvard 87, Moorpark 57--Markus Puhvel scored 19 points and Andres Carlo added 18 points and 12 rebounds to lead Harvard in a quarterfinal game of the Faith Baptist tournament.
Palmdale 66, Ventura 57--Chris DeGlopper scored 20 points for Palmdale (1-2) in the first round of the Crescenta Valley tournament.
GIRLS’ TENNIS
City Section individual quarterfinals--The doubles teams of Mhalo Pena and Rachel Freed of Grant and Stephanie Fontaine and Pam Klosterman of Taft advanced to the semifinal round with straight-set victories at The Racquet Centre in Studio City.
