Glendora : City’s Water Usage Rises
Despite regionwide appeals to conserve, Glendora’s water usage increased by about 2% so far this year, compared to the same period last year, a city official said Tuesday.
Mayor Pro Tem Larry Glenn said he found the increase “really appalling,” and suggested that the city prepare a report on ways to cut water use.
The City Council on Tuesday asked city staff members to prepare such a report, including a contingency plan for mandatory water rationing.
Councilman Marshall Mouw suggested that the study, to be completed by mid-January, also consider the effect of development on water use.
