THE SIDELINES : Lindsey Leads Baylor to Victory

TOKYO — Dennis Lindsey scored 23 points to lead unbeaten Baylor to an 86-62 victory over the University of Idaho today in the Daiwa Ball, an NCAA-sanctioned tournament.
Led by a pair of 3-point shots by Melvin Hunt and another by Willie Sublett, Baylor jumped to a 16-4 lead in the first five minutes and never trailed in the first half.
Idaho led for the first time, 42-41, three minutes into the second half on Calvin Ward’s 3-pointer, but could not keep up with Baylor’s shooting after a seesaw five minutes.
