Cleveland Browns quarterback Bernie Kosar suffered a chip fracture and sprained ligament in the thumb of his throwing hand in a 10-3 victory over Atlanta and is doubtful The Cleveland Browns’ Bernie Kosar was checked at the Cleveland Clinic on Monday after experiencing swelling in the thumb of his throwing hand. Coach Jim Shofner said he was unsure whether Kosar will be able to play for for Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
