SANTA PAULA : School Lunch Prices to Increase Jan. 1
- Share via
The price of school lunches at Santa Paula High School has been raised for the second time since September.
The school board voted recently to raise prices 10% effective Jan. 1, from $1 to $1.10.
Tahir Ahad, financial officer for the district, said the increase is one way the district can reduce last year’s $84,000 cafeteria deficit. One food worker has been laid off and the school is cutting down on waste, he said.
