Post Office to Offer Rose Bowl Souvenir

Rose Bowl fans will be able to mark the day with a commemorative envelope and a special cancellation, postal officials announced Thursday.
The pink envelope depicts the Rose Bowl and other Pasadena landmarks in burgundy ink, with the words, “The Crown City, Pasadena, California.” Cancellations in dark pink ink will read, “Fun ‘n’ Games, 1991,” the New Year’s Day parade theme.
“The commemorative envelope with the special cancellation will make a great souvenir” of the Tournament of Roses, said Pasadena Postmaster Jose Castellanos.
They will be sold Jan. 1 and Jan. 2 at a mobile post office on Sierra Madre Boulevard in front of Pasadena High School, where the parade ends.
