Paul Shelley, 79, a conductor and arranger for Judy Garland, Maurice Chevalier, Sammy Davis Jr. and Paul Anka. Shelley produced music specials for CBS-TV, conducted at the Copacabana in New York for seven years and once conducted the London Philharmonic. Shelley also conducted for his daughter-in-law, Paula Shelley, when she starred with Davis in “Golden Boy” on Broadway. On Sunday in Hollywood, Fla., of the complications of Alzheimer’s disease.
