Weber State’s Jason Joe made a three-point play with four seconds left to hand Cal State Northridge a 61-59 loss Saturday night before a season-high crowd of 1,274 at Matador Gymnasium.
A last-second shot by Northridge three-point specialist Kyle Kerlegan bounced off the rim and out of bounds.
The Matadors (3-9) had won their three previous home games. This was their second loss to Weber State in the past eight days.
Northridge made only 61.9% of its foul shots and shot only 33.9% from the field. Kerlegan led Northridge with 12 points, and Andre Chevalier, who played despite a sprained ankle, scored 11.
Weber State (5-6) led, 52-45, at one point late in the game.
