Short Takes : Eden Ties the Knot for 3rd Time

SAN FRANCISCO — Actress Barbara Eden, who gained fame in the 1960s NBC hit series “I Dream of Jeannie,” has married Los Angeles real estate developer Jon Eicholtz in a small ceremony.

About 35 guests attended Saturday’s wedding at Grace Cathedral, and a reception was held at the Fairmont Hotel, where the couple stayed overnight, publicist Curt King said. He said they planned to return to Eden’s Beverly Hills home and would take a longer honeymoon trip at a later date.

Eden is best known for her role as the enchanting, mischievous genie in the 1965-70 television series.

This is Eden’s third marriage and the second for Eicholtz, a widower. The actress was first married to actor Michael Ansara and they have a son, Matthew. Her second marriage was to advertising executive Charles Fegert.
