A harbor area traffic dispute ended late Friday night with one motorist shooting another to death.
Richard Horvatch, 41, of Fontana, died at St. Mary Medical Center in Long Beach, shortly after being shot several times about 10:45 p.m., Officer Ron Quinton said.
Police do not know what sparked the dispute between Horvatch and another male driver. The traffic argument ended on a private road called Paul Jones Avenue, just east of the Anaheim Street on-ramp to the Terminal Island Freeway.
Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department’s South Bureau Homicide unit are investigating the incident, Quinton said.
