Welcome Home Bash: ABC will welcome home the troops from the Persian Gulf and note the 50th anniversary of the USO in a big “television event” April 5 at Universal Amphitheatre. The date coincides with President Bush’s National Days of Thanksgiving (April 5-7), and the President and Secretary of Defense Dick Cheney are scheduled to participate along with a galaxy of Hollywood stars. The audience will include several thousand military personnel and family members, and the concert will be beamed via satellite to military installations around the world.
