Slain Man Found Near Littlerock Road

Homicide detectives were investigating the shooting death of a man whose body was found Wednesday on the side of a road in Littlerock, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported.
Officials withheld the name of the 21-year-old man until his relatives could be notified. The man was shot once in the head, Deputy Mary Landreth said.
A motorist saw the fully clothed body lying on the side of Mount Emma Road, half a mile west of 87th Street East, shortly after noon Wednesday, Landreth said.
The motive for the shooting was unknown, Landreth said.
