NEW YORK — Meadow Star, last year’s 2-year-old filly champion, made an impressive return to racing Saturday with a 4 3/4-length victory in the $44,100 Queen of the Stage Stakes at Aqueduct.
The winner, ridden by Chris Antley, covered the seven furlongs for 3-year-old fillies in 1:23 on a fast track, remaining undefeated in eight career starts.
Meadow Star returned $2.20, $2.20 and $2.10. Nany’s Appeal finished second and Christina Czarina third in the field of five.
