California IN BRIEF : SACRAMENTO : Election Called to Fill Roos’ Seat

Gov. Pete Wilson has called a special election for June 4 to replace former Assemblyman Mike Roos (D-Los Angeles), who resigned in March to head a Los Angeles educational foundation. The election in the 46th Assembly District will be combined with other local balloting set for the same date, including races for the Los Angeles City Council and Los Angeles Unified School District, the governor’s office said.
