Police are investigating a drive-by shooting that left an 18-year-old youth wounded Monday night.
The victim, who was not identified, was standing at the corner of Adams and Halladay streets at 8:15 p.m. Monday when a car drove by and its occupants opened fire, said police spokeswoman Maureen Haacker.
The youth was shot once in the chest and was taken to Western Medical Center in Santa Ana, where he was treated for “a non-life-threatening gunshot wound,” Haacker said.
Police said they have no details on the car or its driver. The shooting is being investigated as a gang-related incident.
