The city and Local 501 of the International Union of Operating Engineers have agreed on a three-year labor contract.
City Directors on Tuesday approved a contract calling for a 4% annual pay increase for the next two years and an increase of up to 5.5% in 1993. The union represents about 35 workers at the city’s electric generating plant.
The agreement also calls for increases in the city’s contribution to health care and an increase in pay for swing and graveyard shifts.
