Excellent Tipper Wins at Aqueduct

NEW YORK — Excellent Tipper edged the favored Solidarity Chief by a neck after a head-to-head duel through the last half of the one mile feature race Tuesday at Aqueduct. Ancient Sauce was third in the six-horse field.

Excellent Tipper covered a mile on the fast track in 1:36.3 for his third successive victory in four starts and paid $12.20 to win.
