Hahn Chest Discomfort ‘Probably Indigestion’

Los Angeles County Supervisor Kenneth Hahn returned home Wednesday after being briefly hospitalized for “chest discomfort.”
“All tests indicate that the supervisor is fine, and he is resting at home,” Hahn spokeswoman Lynn Sakamoto said. Hahn’s doctor diagnosed the supervisor’s discomfort as “probably indigestion.” The 70-year-old supervisor who suffered a stroke in 1987 that left him partially paralyzed, recently said he is considering retiring next year after nearly four decades on the county board.
Sakamoto said Hahn was taken to Daniel Freeman Memorial Hospital from his home Wednesday morning as a precautionary measure. He was released in the afternoon. “His doctor told him to take a few days off,” Sakamoto said, adding that the supervisor still plans to attend a luncheon in Watts on Friday.
