Erik Breukink cruised to victory by nearly two seconds in the individual time trial prologue of the Tour Du Pont bicycle race at Wilmington, Del.

Breukink, a 27-year-old from the Netherlands who finished third in last year’s Tour de France, was timed in 6 minutes 20.82 seconds over the 3.1-mile course through downtown Wilmington.

Canadian Steve Bauer finished second in 6:22.35. Stephen Swart of New Zealand was third in 6:23.18.
