Savala Seeks Transfer to Kennedy

San Fernando High pitcher Rick Savala, who compiled a record of 6-4 before he was removed from the team for disciplinary reasons three weeks ago, said Tuesday that he will attempt to transfer to Kennedy.

Savala, a junior who had an earned-run average of 2.00 in 49 innings, said he is planning to meet with Kennedy officials later this week or early next week.

Savala was dismissed from the San Fernando team after a disagreement with the coaching staff.
