Pasadena : Recycling Contract OKd
A $228,300 contract with Circo Glass Co. for curbside collection of recyclable trash was approved Tuesday by the City Council.
Circo, which already collects recyclable trash--glass, aluminum cans and newspapers--for the city on Mondays, will begin the same service July 1 in areas where refuse is collected on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
The city selected Circo after Browning-Ferris Industries, which had been providing the service, said it was losing money and ended its contract March 13.
