Regarding Herbert Glass’ review of Mahler recordings (May 19): We too now consider Mahler to be “mainstream” but cannot agree with Glass’ suggestion that “Mahlermania (is) a thing of the past.”
There seems to be no letup in the downright fanaticism of our many members and friends. There has been as much anticipated response to our forthcoming 25th annual Mahlerthon on June 1 as there has been since our founding in the mid-1960s.
