Trump Shuttle Plans Discounts for the Summer

NEW YORK — The Trump Shuttle will try to lure more passengers this summer through cheap fares for travelers who fly during off-peak weekday hours with tickets purchased 14 days in advance.
The shuttle’s chief rival in the important Northeast air corridor, the Pan Am Shuttle, said it was studying the move.
The Trump Shuttle said travelers between New York and either Boston or Washington can fly for $119 round trip, a $165 savings off the regular weekday round-trip fare.
Passengers must fly between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., or between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. to and from Washington and between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. to and from Boston.
The tickets are non-refundable and non-changeable.
“We think it’s a historic thing in the shuttle market,” Trump Shuttle spokeswoman Joan Fudala said. “Traditionally, the shuttle has always been a walk-up-and-go sort of program.”
The Trump Shuttle hopes to take passengers away from others in the airline industry and perhaps even from the Amtrak trains that have taken some travelers in the Northeast away from airlines.
The Trump Shuttle said it was trying to “help Northeast air travelers cope with recessionary times,” which have harmed bookings throughout the industry.
