Police are seeking a motive for a drive-by shooting into a car in Saticoy this week.
According to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department, the incident occurred at 11:37 p.m. Wednesday at 1222 Clavel Ave.
A witness, whose name is being withheld by authorities, said he saw a silver-gray Ford van in front of the house with two men firing guns at an old Cadillac parked there.
The suspects are described as Latino males who wore caps and dark jackets.
Sheriff’s units have been unable to locate the suspects. Although only two suspects were seen, Sheriff’s Sgt. Carl Shoenberger said “we have debris from three weapons.”
He said investigators have determined that .45-caliber and 9-millimeter weapons as well as a shotgun were fired into the Cadillac. The owner of the Cadillac has no known gang ties, Shoenberger said.
