Former Clipper Assistant Staak Signs With Heat

Bob Staak, former head coach at Wake Forest and Xavier and an assistant coach with the Clippers in 1989-90, was added on Tuesday to the staff of new Miami Heat Coach Kevin Loughery.
In six years at Xavier and four at Wake Forest, Staak compiled a record of 133-155.
“Miami is one of the most exciting teams to work for in the NBA because the Heat has a roster full of good young players who have just begun to scratch the surface of their capabilities,” Staak said.
Loughery, who replaced Ron Rothstein, still has to complete his staff, but Rothstein’s assistants, Dave Wohl and Tony Fiorentino, will not be retained.
