Women’s Tournament Begins Tuesday at Dominguez Hills

The Olympias Girls Development League, in association with the Academic/Athletic Basketball Assn., will hold the first National High School Women’s Basketball Tournament at Cal State Dominguez Hills beginning Tuesday.
Three teams from the Carson-based Olympias league will compete against teams from Colorado, Arizona, Texas, Louisiana, Washington, Massachusetts and others from California. Three South Bay standouts are expected to participate: 6-foot-4 All-American Janet Davis of Morningside High, 6-4 Michelle Campbell of Banning and 6-1 Kelly Bryant of Inglewood.
The tournament continues through Saturday, with games starting at 2 p.m. daily. Tickets, which can be purchased at the door, are $3 for adults and $2 for students. Weekly passes are $10 and $8.
