Shootings at Movie Opening

Everyone seems to be looking for somewhere to assign blame for the tragic outbreak of gunplay in theaters across the country showing “Boyz.” While fingers are being pointed at the filmmaker, the studio and the exhibitors, it’s clear that the root cause is the appalling lack of meaningful handgun control laws in our country, where any hothead with a self-esteem problem is free to arm himself to the teeth.
Congress is finally taking its first baby steps in the right direction as the Brady bill inches its way toward becoming law. The citizens of this nation are finally fed up with this senseless explosion of violence and will no longer permit the National Rifle Assn. to ram its gun-loving agenda down our collective throats.
