Azusa : Remodeling Rebate OKd

Downtown businesses may be eligible for a 50% rebate on the cost of renovations, under a redevelopment program approved by the City Council on Monday.
The Commercial Rehabilitation Rebate Program was approved by a 4-0 vote, with Councilman John R. Dangleis absent. The target area of the program is bounded by 5th Street and Santa Fe, Dalton and San Gabriel avenues.
Owners and tenants in this area may obtain a redevelopment agency rebate from $2,500 to $25,000 per building for approved remodeling projects.
