High on Swamp

Last October, the Travel Section featured an article on “A Cajun Man’s Swamp Tour” of Houma, La. (about 1 1/2 hours from New Orleans). The article fascinated us and we decided, should we ever travel to Louisiana, that we would take this tour. We were not disappointed.
It is an unforgettable two-hour tour at the moderate price of $15 per person. Several alligators swam up to the boat to receive raw chicken legs fed to them on a long stick. One large alligator jumped high out of the water to receive his chicken leg. It was quite a sight. We loved this tour. It should be a must when one visits New Orleans.
