Pepsi Signs Sabatini: Argentine tennis star Gabriela Sabatini has said “uh-huh” to a long-term contract with Pepsi-Cola. The 1990 U.S Open Champion and third-ranked women’s tennis player has become Pepsi’s first female athlete endorser. Terms of the contract were not disclosed. Among Pepsi’s current spokesmen are San Francisco 49er quarterback Joe Montana, former world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson and Los Angeles Laker star Magic Johnson. Sabatini will defend her U.S. Open championship next week wearing the Diet Pepsi logo on the right sleeve of her tennis shirt. She will also appear in advertisements and make special appearances for all Pepsi brands.
