No Pee-wee in the Playhouse: A planned weeklong revival of the movie “Pee-wee’s Big Adventure” in Pee-wee Herman’s hometown of Sarasota, Fla., was canceled when a local theater refused to show the film. Sarasota Film Society Director Dick Morris said Cobb Theaters Inc. feared the movie might offend local police, who arrested Herman (whose real name is Paul Reubens) in July for indecent exposure. But a Sarasota sheriff’s spokesman said the department “didn’t really care.”
