Kidnaping Suspect Shot, Killed by Police

A man suspected of involvement in a kidnaping for ransom was shot and killed Saturday by plainclothes Huntington Park police officers during a rendezvous near a Hollywood convenience market, authorities said.
The suspect was shot after he pulled out a handgun and fired twice at the three officers, who were uninjured, said Sgt. Larry Lincoln of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. The officers fired back, killing the suspect outside an AM/PM Mini Mart at 5777 Hollywood Blvd., Lincoln said.
