DOUSING THE ‘FIRE’

Upon learning of plans to rework “Gabriel’s Fire” (now named “Pros & Cons”), I could not help but be disturbed by yet another disappointing example of a network’s reluctance to keep quality programming on the air. How many times must American audiences be subjected to trivial and mundane forms of entertainment simply in the name of going with what’s more popular rather than with what is more substantial and meaningful?
