California Condors

The article on returning the California condor to its natural environment was quite interesting. I was startled by the enormous cost of the project. The question in my mind is what was the source of the money. If the project was privately funded, that is fine. If it was publicly funded, it represents an indefensible squandering of taxpayer’s money.
