Ex-Trabuco Hills Baseball Coach Goes to Laguna Beach

Donn Munsell, former Trabuco Hills High School baseball coach, has accepted a similar position at Laguna Beach High School.

Munsell, 43, replaced Dave Buttles, who left to coach at College of the Desert.

Munsell resigned at Trabuco Hills this fall when school officials decided they wanted a staff member to coach the baseball team. Munsell, a physical education teacher at Serra High School the past six years, didn’t want to give up his seniority at the school to join the Trabuco Hills staff.

Trabuco Hills was 71-55 with three playoff appearances in Munsell’s six years as coach.
