PORT HUENEME : Man Injured When Car Falls on Him

A Port Hueneme man was reported in stable condition Wednesday at St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Oxnard after his car fell on him while he was repairing it, authorities said.
Francisco Javier Garcia of Kern Street had taken off all four wheels and was working under his four-door when it fell off the jacks, Port Hueneme Police Officer Bill Ayub said.
Garcia’s nephew found him unconscious under the car and called police at 5:32 p.m., Ayub said. Garcia had regained consciousness by the time police had arrived.
Garcia complained of chest pains, but suffered no rib fractures, the nursing supervisor said.
