Grant Turner, 79, “Grand Ole Opry” announcer for half a century. Turner also provided daily commentary on Nashville, Tenn., radio station WSM, where he worked for 47 years, and made radio commercials. In Nashville on Oct. 19 of a heart aneurysm just hours after announcing his final Opry broadcast.
