PRO FOOTBALL DAILY REPORT : RAIDERS : Shell Impressed That Lott Took Blame

Ronnie Lott showed class when he took the blame for the Raiders’ loss to the Chiefs when he missed a defensive assignment Monday night in Kansas City, says Raider Coach Art Shell.
“It tells you something about the individual,” Shell said. “When the glory’s there, he accepts it, but he still tries to spread it around to his teammates. When a mistake is made on his part, he accepts the total responsibility.” Shell added Lott won’t dwell on the mistake. “He’s been through the wars before. He understands.”
The Raiders restored Marcus Allen to the practice squad from injured reserve, meaning he can spend this week and next working out with the team and might be activated for the Nov. 10 game.
