Fresno Defeats San Jose, 31-28

FRESNO — San Jose State scored 15 points in a 19-second span late in the game, but Fresno State held off the Spartans, 31-28, Saturday night to earn a spot in the California Bowl, where the Bulldogs will play Bowling Green Dec. 14.
Fresno (10-1, 6-1) and San Jose (6-4-1, 6-1) officially tied for the Big West title.
