Loyola Women Open With 70-38 Win

The Loyola Marymount women’s basketball team defeated Southern Cal College, 70-38, in a season opener at Costa Mesa Saturday night.
Senior Joelle Longobardi led the Lions with a career-high 28 points and had seven rebounds. Freshman Tanya White added eight points and a team-high nine rebounds.
The Lions held Southern Cal to 23.6% shooting for the game. Kristen Bevis led Southern Cal with 12 points and seven rebounds.
The Lions play at Chicago State on Wednesday.
