Olivetti Reorganizes Corporate Structure: Italy’s computer giant Olivetti announced a reorganization of its corporate structure that it said will help it face market difficulties and trim operating costs. The announcement comes three weeks after Chairman Carlo De Benedetti said he would take more direct responsibility for running the company. Olivetti’s earnings have slumped. The company suffered a $61-million loss in the first half, its first red ink in 13 years.
