South Gate : Switch of Council Meetings to Tuesdays Gets Final OK

The South Gate City Council has given final approval to an ordinance switching council meetings from Mondays to Tuesdays beginning in February. Under the new measure, the council will meet at 7 p.m. on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month.
The change was made to give council members more time to study agenda materials and to avoid conflicts with Monday observances of state and federal holidays.
