Free Credit Reports: TRW Inc. announced Friday that on April 30 it would begin its new policy of offering free copies of credit reports to consumers upon request. TRW said in October that it would start offering the service nationwide as a way of cleaning up errors in individual credit reports. At present, consumers are charged $8 in California and $15 in many other states for copies of their reports.
