More of the Same on Permian Football

Danny Robbins’ Dec. 7 article on the Permian Panthers closely resembled the work of “Friday Night Lights” author H.G. Bissinger: negative and one-sided. The Permian High football program has a long tradition of excellence, pride and discipline, in addition to its unparalleled community support. Failing to discuss these positives distorts this story and performs a grave injustice to the school, the players and the community.
