Nelson Returns to UCI to Assist Tennis Team

IRVINE — Rob Nelson, a former tennis standout at UC Irvine, was named assistant coach of the Anteater men’s tennis team, the school announced Wednesday.
Nelson, 31, played at Irvine from 1980-83 and on the professional circuit from 1983-85. He replaces Steve Clark, who was named head coach at Texas Tech two weeks ago.
