La Jolla Bookings: The La Jolla Playhouse announced Wednesday that its 1992 season will open with Tennessee Williams’ “The Glass Menagerie” (May 10-June 14), followed by the Flying Karamazov Brothers in “Le Petomane,” their irreverent farce about the Gay ‘90s (June 14-July 12). The West Coast premiere of Jose Rivera’s “Marisol” (Sept. 16-Oct. 18) will play in rotating repertory with “The Swan” by Elizabeth Egloff (Sept. 13-Oct. 18). Des McAnuff’s staging of “Much Ado About Nothing” (Oct. 25-Nov. 29) and a to-be-announced show staged by Michael Greif (July 26-Aug. 30) join the previously announced premiere of Athol Fugard’s “Playland” (Aug. 30-Oct. 4) and Peter Townshend’s “Tommy,” directed by McAnuff.
