Nothing to get alarmed about. A slight case of cabin fever. We spent a good part of the week trying to figure out if the spider that went up the water spout was eensy-weensy or itsy-bitsy .
That’s when we knew that we had to get out of the house.
What was needed was a project.
So we built an ark.
It looks like a wagon, but no matter.
We’ll need twos of everything.
We’ll start with two pizzas and two cases of Perrier Jouet, and call it a day.
Now. Where the heck do we go?
A good place to start is McCabe’s in Santa Monica, where Dan Hicks and the Acoustic Warriors are performing their brand of folk-swing on Saturday. Show times are 8 and 10:30 p.m.
Tickets are $17.50. For information call (310) 828-4497.
We hope he plays “How Can I Miss You (When You Won’t Go Away?)”
It’s been that kind of a week.
Next, it’s on to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, which is presenting “Helping Win the War: Animation Art During World War II” through March 27.
The academy is located at 8949 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays. Admission is free. Call (310) 247-3000.
