The Rev. Thomas P. O’Malley, S.J., will be inaugurated March 3 as the 13th president of Loyola Marymount University.
Representatives of more than 100 colleges and universities are expected to march in the academic procession that is a traditional feature of such ceremonies.
O’Malley, 61, took office July 1, 1991. Before assuming the presidency of the Westchester campus, he was rector of the Jesuit community at Fairfield University and Preparatory School.
Loyola Marymount is the largest Catholic university in Southern California, with an enrollment of 6,100 students in its undergraduate and graduate programs.
